MANILA- Malacañang announced Friday it is suspending work on April 27 and 28 in parts of Metro Manila due to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit and Related Meetings.
Also suspended are classes in all public and private schools in Metro Manila on April 28, Friday.
Work in all government offices in Manila, Makati, and Pasay are suspended from April 27-28 while work in both government and private offices in Metro Manila will be suspended on April 28, Friday.
Work suspension on April 29 depends on the announcement of the affected local government units and employers.
For government offices located inside the Philippine International Convention Center Complex in Pasay City, a week-long work suspension will be implemented from April 24-30 (Monday to Sunday).
Meanwhile, work in government offices located at the Cultural Center of the Philippines Complex will be suspended from April 28-30.
Schools in Pasay, Makati and Manila however have the discretion to suspend classes in their respective schools on April 27.
The ASEAN leaders’ meeting is set on April 29 at the Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay City.
